In Photography we will learn about the Rule of Thirds to better bring attention to the subject.

Photoshop

In Photoshop we will go over the tools again briefly and then discuss more with layers and masks.

Week #1 (Feb 25 & 27)

Welcome to your first day of class. We talked about proper exposure and watched the following power point.

Exposure and the Histogram

Then we taked about macro photography and I showed you the picture of parking lot asphalt.

Original 

I used the histogram to adjust the exposure, cropped to accentuate the subject or focal point, and  added many layers to adjust the color and sharpness.

Then we went over the basic tools in Photoshop.

Adobe TV has a lot of great tutorials if you ever want to go back and learn a little more from a genuine Adobe professional. Two of their tutorials that correspond to what we talked about this week are:

Next week bring a thumb drive, your camera or camera phone, and the cable to download photos to the computer.
